Masha likes a good story and a good challenge. Telling stories with light, whether in theatre, dance, opera, (and especially anything in between)
is an ever-evolving journey that has kept Masha busy for almost ten years now. In lighting, Masha finds contrasts, theatricality, and movement
are what catches her eye and keeps her interest as a designer. She has had the opportunity to design a number of new and devised works and finds
that process extremely invigorating. She has always been interested, some may say obsessed, with literature, art in its various forms (and its history),
and photography, which now all neatly fit into the lighting design package. Masha is fluent in Russian and English, with a smattering of French mixed in.
She is currently studying for her MFA in Lighting Design at the Yale School of Drama.
